This year as you prepare to grill, try some new variations on your burgers. One of my favorites is called an Eagle Blitz burger. There are endless possibilities of ingredients to add to your burgers. You can add spices, other meats, cheeses or vegetables. Be creative and let your experimentation begin.
1 lb ground chuck
7 oz chorizo
Mix the chorizo and ground chuck and form into patties. Grill until cooked thoroughly. Top with jalapenos, bacon and cheese. Serve with traditional toppings and try it with a little salsa.
You can also wrap your burger around a hard cheese and then grill. I also like to add a little marinara sauce, bread crumbs and one egg for an Italian burger. Have some fun and try different ideas and then have the family host a burger tasting event. Endless possibilities abound.
