City businesses dress up for fall visitors
GATLINBURG (press release)—Gatlinburg is decked out for fall from one end of town to the other. Harvest Festival decorations including pumpkins, mums, scarecrows and cornstalks are displayed through out adding to the autumn atmosphere for fall visitors to the Great Smoky Mountains.
The Gatlinburg Chamber of Commerce just wrapped up the annual Smoky Mountain Harvest Festival Decoration Contest. Thirty-four businesses entered their harvest-themed displays in the contest. The Gatlinburg Garden Club provides the expert judging.
“Each display is so creative and well done. The judges had their hands full choosing which was best,” said Marci Claude, PR Manager of the Gatlinburg Convention and Visitors Bureau. “Everyone’s efforts have made the city just that much more beautiful.”
