Toy and Comic Expo coming to Knoxville October 10-11

The creative mind that brought “Slimer” to life is one of several stars that will appear at the Knoxville Toy and Comic Expo / Photo submitted.

Fans of the Addams Family TV series can meet Felix Silla, the star that portrayed Cousin Itt in the popular creepy ‘60s sitcom at the Toy and Comic Expo in Knoxville on Oct 10–11.

Among Silla’s other credits is Twiki on the Buck Rogers in the 25th Century movie and TV series. Silla appeared in the Planet of the Apes, Battlestar Galactica, Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, as the hang glider ewok, E.T., Howard the Duck, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Batman Returns and many more. In addition to acting Silla has performed stunt work in numerous movies.

Silla is one of several stars that will sign autographs for fans at the event. Tyler Mane who portrayed Michael Myers in the Rob Zombie cult classics Halloween and Halloween II will be on hand to meet with fans. Mane is a former WWE wrestler that was cast as the killer in the slasher flick that left movie goers sleeping with the lights on for months. In addition, Tyler played the part of Wolverine’s nemesis Sabertoot in X-men.

Fans of the Ghostbusters movies can meet puppeteer Mark Bryan Wilson who brought the gooey but lovable character Slimer to life. In addition Wilson was the creative mind behind the Terror Dog and the Library Ghost in Ghostbusters. He worked as the puppeteer for Daffy from Gremlins II & the shrunken head guy from Beetlejuice. Wilson’s other credits include Fright Night, “Big Trouble Little China, Poltergeist II, Tremors, Evil Dead II and Men in Black.
