Clearance sale set for Sevierville library

used book saleSEVIERVILLE (press release)—A huge used book sale is planned for June 11 through 13 at King Family Library in Sevierville.

All 30,000-plus books presently stored on the third floor must be moved in the next few weeks to make way for library renovations. The sale should provide local readers with plenty of material while lightening the moving burden on volunteers from the three Friends of the Library groups from King Family, Seymour and Kodak who organize the book sales.

Hours are 11 to 6 p.m. Thursday, June 11 and Friday, June 12, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 13. All three days will be Bag Days, when patrons can fill a bag of books for $5. Bags will be provided. Single books will cost $1 or less. A huge variety of fiction, non-fiction and children’s books are included.

The three Friends groups split the proceeds equally and will use the money to support their local library, donating funds for book purchases, library programs and addressing other financial needs of their libraries.

For more information, call King Family Library at (865) 453-3532.
