Slowing down during this busy time of year to visit Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas presented by Humana is the perfect way for families to reconnect, recharge and make lifetime memories together. To help families carve out more time to visit, the award-winning theme park is open Dec. 31 (11 a.m. – 9 p.m.) for a family-friendly New Year’s Eve celebration.
For the first time in recent memory, families can visit Dollywood to ring in the New Year. At 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 31, a fabulous fireworks show fills the air with color and excitement like only Dollywood can provide!
After guests experience Smoky Mountain Christmas for the first time, they understand why the park is the only winner of Amusement Today’s Best Christmas Event award. Ask a season pass holder why they return year after year, and words like tradition, magic and memories are a common refrain.
Regardless of the number of visits, a trip to Dollywood to experience its four million Christmas lights, spectacular holiday entertainment and delicious treats and goodies warms every soul with the spirit of the season. Even Scrooge himself visits the park every day during the festival—thanks to his leading role in Dollywood’s A Christmas Carol, which celebrates its final year in 2015. Guests who have yet to see the show, which features Dolly Parton as a hologram of the Ghost of Christmas Past, should make plans to see this ground-breaking production.
