PIGEON FORGE (press release)—Have you made your 4th of July plans yet? In Pigeon Forge, Tennessee they’re celebrating our nation’s Independence Day with an all-day festival featuring music, games, and, of course, fireworks! The Pigeon Forge Patriot Festival is an area tradition bringing families together year after year. Even better, it’s completely free to attend. Don’t miss one of the best 4th of July events in the Southeast!
Festivities will kick-off at 1:00pm. Patriot Festival entertainment includes:
Jimbo Whaley and Greenbrier – a singer and songwriter, Jimbo, grew up in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, with music always being a part of his life. He has written numerous songs including: The Foundation, M.R.s Rolling Store, The Legend of Jack Huff, and the fan favorite, The Kings of Orebank.
Eden’s Edge,a music trio from Nashville, are today’s country with wings and roots.
Steve Azar, a talented singer-songwriter, is known for such top country hits as “I Don’t Have To Be Me ‘Til Monday” and “Waitin’ on Joe.”
This year’s festival is headlined by Diamond Rio. The award-winning country group have recorded a string of major hits, including “Love A Little Stronger,”One More Day,” and “Meet in the Middle.” Their tight harmonies will light up the stage before the night sky dazzles with a spectacular fireworks display.
Diamond Rio made the transition from mainstream country music to Christian music, and it wasn’t a major stretch. The group has long been known for such positive hits as “I Believe”, “Mama Don’t Forget To Pray For Me”, and “One More Day”. They are enjoying one of the most successful careers in country music!
Fireworks will be broadcast live on WIVK 107.7 At the conclusion of all musical performances, the Pigeon Forge night sky comes to life with a fantastic fireworks display. The fireworks usually start at 9:30 to 9:45 pm, so keep your eyes on the skies.
The best views will be at Patriot Park. Parking will be limited, but visitors can park at the parking facility on Teaster Lane and hop a free trolley to the festival. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the show.
