Rocky Top Sports World will host the 44th Annual Smoky Mountain Thanksgiving Youth Football Tournament. In previous years, the tournament has hosted numerous teams from as many as ten states competing in football tournament action. With the availability of seven fields, the event goal is to reach record registrations.
The event will be held November 25–28, with weigh-ins beginning on Wednesday night. Competition will take place Thursday–Saturday in age divisions six to 13. “I am very excited about the partnership with Rocky Top Sports World,” said Tournament Director Lee Hammonds. “I am optimistic starting the 44th year of the Thanksgiving Bowl that we can have the best youth football tournament in the country.”
Teams will have a two game minimum with the goal of three games per team. A new opportunity for all youth football players will be included in this year’s event. Former University of Tennessee tailback, Jabari Davis, will host a speed, agility and quickness camp on November 24–25. Registration is open to interested individuals and discounts are available for tournament participants and teams.
