SEVIERVILLE (press release)—Brenda McCroskey, Chief Executive Officer of the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce, was recently appointed to Governor Bill Haslam’s Tennessee Tourism Committee (TTC).

The role of the TTC is to provide research and a strategic plan for tourism, and play an advisory role to the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development.

The committee members are all leaders of their organizations from across the state and range from heads of convention and visitors bureaus, to attractions, chambers of commerce, and hotels.

McCroskey has been active on statewide and regional tourism boards throughout her tenure at the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce. In September, she retired her position as the Tennessee Vice-Chair of the Southeast Tourism Society Board of Directors, an organization dedicated to the regional promotion of tourism since 1983. She now looks forward to representing Sevierville in her new role with the Tennessee Tourism Committee.
