Roy Wallace Whaley, 75, of Sevierville passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015. He was a member of Laurel Branch Baptist Church. Roy proudly served in the United States Army for six years. He was an automotive machinist and retired from Robert Shaw. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Leola Whaley; brother, Bill Whaley; sister and brother-in-law, Henrietta and Jess Carr; sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Blane Justus; brother, Gordon Whaley; brothers-in-law, Dean Campbell and Ken Litherland. Roy is survived by his son, Jackie Whaley and wife, Kristie Whaley; grandchildren, Austin Whaley, Fallon Whaley, Kendra Whaley, and Briceson Whaley; great-grandson, Jace Henson; sister-in-law, Becky Whaley; sisters, Lena Campbell, Elizabeth “Liz” Litherland; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please sponsor a local Angel Tree Child for Christmas. A private family viewing will be held 1 PM to 2PM Saturday, November 28th at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. Graveside service 2:30 PM Saturday at Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens, 220 Emert Street, Pigeon Forge with Rev. Lee Carr officiating and military honors provided by American Legion Post #104.
