Thomas Collier Graves (55) went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 7, 2016. Tom was a resident of Sevierville, Tennessee. He was a member of Alder Branch Baptist Church. Tom graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor’s degree in Agri-Business and Rural Sociology. He worked at several jobs until he became a commercial real estate appraiser and had owned Smoky Mountain Real Estate Appraisers with his partner Drew Overbay for over 20 years. Tom was loved by so many people. Tom was a man of great character and treated every one he met fairly. He loved old cars and drove them with pride.
He is preceded in death by his parents Melborn Reese Graves and Patricia Ann Dunn Graves, grandparents, Arlie and Dora Graves and Roy and Lula Dunn; uncles and aunts Carl and Norma Graves, Arlie Graves, Fred and Margaret Graves, Ralph Dunn, and Sammie Hammock, father-in-law Marvin Carmichael.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 28 years, Kimberly Carmichael Graves; mother-in-law, Betty Carmichael; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joey and Tina Carmichael; three nieces, Hailey Carmichael, Shelby Carmichael and Gracie Carmichael, and all of Kim’s family because they were his family. He is also survived by Aunt and Uncle Burris and Carolyn Olsen of San Demus, California, Aunt Charlesey Dunn of Knoxville, Aunt Jama Graves of Hickory, North Carolina, and several cousins; extended family Lyle and Judy Pat Overbay, Drew and Heather Overbay, Jonathan and Tia Babcock; special friends, Charlie and Judy Roberts, Bill and Meredith Douglas, Walter and Kathy Dunlap and David and Pam Lawson.

The family will receive friends 4-6:45 PM Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Alder Branch Baptist Church with a celebration of life service to follow at 7 PM with Reverend Jim Hutson and Reverend Steve Rose officiating.
