Annie Aldrete earned All-SEC honors for the second-straight year, Meghan Gregg and Scarlet McSwain were named to the Freshman All-SEC team and Rainey Gaffin picked up SEC All-Defensive accolades on Tuesday as the Southeastern Conference announced its 2015 annual awards.
Aldrete garnered Second Team All-SEC honors after hitting .295 with seven homers, three doubles, a team-high 22 RBIs and 17 runs scored in league games. She tied for fifth in the SEC with 22 RBIs, tied for fifth with seven home runs and ranked 11th in the conference with a .721 slugging percentage in league play. Aldrete’s All-SEC selection is the 52nd in Tennessee history and it marks the 13th-consecutive year UT has had an all-conference pick. Aldrete, who earned First Team honors in 2014, also becomes the 10th Tennessee player to earn All-SEC honors in multiple seasons.
