Public invited to experience the second biggest boom in Bristol

thunder valley bristolBRISTOL (press release)—The general public is invited to see “the granddaddy of all pyrotechnics displays” as two nights of fireworks will be set off Sept. 11–12 at the Thunder Valley Bristol Dragway.

The fireworks will be the closing celebrations of the National Fireworks Expo happening Sept. 8-12 in Kingsport. Buyers and sellers from around the world, most from China, will show off their pyrotechnics for about 45 minutes. A special, patriotic observance will take place Sept. 11.

Bristol, TN/VA is known for being the destination where the Big Bang of Country Music took place during the 1927 Bristol Sessions conducted by Ralph Peer. That history is preserved and celebrated with the newest Birthplace of Country Music Museum.
